The Dancesport Divas director, Ashanti Altovese, performed at the 2011 Rose City Salsa Festival in Vancouver, WA from April 21st through the 24th. On Saturday, April 23rd, Ashanti presented her entertaining Ladies Salsa routine at the event to promote female empowerment through dance. The performance was well received and the organizers invited the team to present at next year's event. Other performers included John & Liz, directors of the SalsaMania dance company, Sekou McMiller, Christian Oviedo, and Alien Ramirez. The Hilton Vancouver Washington was the facility for the event and its elegant decor was the perfect place for such an intimate and well-run festival.
